Blog Post 5: Reflection on Conscience

It doesn’t matter if it’s right or wrong. A person’s conscience doesn’t have any sense and just goes for what a person wants. No I don’t agree totally with what Huck says. I think that you have a choice into what you do. You can do the opposite of what your conscience says. Sometimes it’s the right decision and sometimes it’s the wrong decision.

The first example of Huck’s conscience influences is when he helps Jim runaway from slavery. I do agree with this decision that Huck made because if Jim didn’t want to be a slave than he has a choice not to plus it’s not right to own people. Another example of Huck’s conscience influences is when he steals (borrows) from the people because he wants the items. I don’t agree with that decision because he is taking without permission and he mostly takes things that he wants plus it’s wrong to steal. One last example of a conscience influenced decision is when Huck gives those sisters back the money and tells them that the king and dukes were fakes. I agree with that decision because no one deserves to be tricked or fooled because it’s not nice to do to other people.

A time when my conscience has influenced me to do something good is when I help people with things even if I don’t have my work done or if they don’t do any work and just that time they wanted to do some work. The thing about it is that even though I already know that I’m not done with my work I still help people with theirs. It makes me feel better when I help other people but when I don’t help them and do my work it makes me feel bad because I know that they may not get done with there work. I like when people ask me, it makes me feel special in a kind of way.
